Andrea Perugi

Andrea Perugi started his studies as a pianist and then after obtaining a diploma he went on to study Organ and Organ Composition under Maestro Umberto Pineschi at the "Conservatorio G.B. Martini" in Bologna where he graduated in 1992.
He has participated in numerous seminars on the interpretation of Early Music, which were held by musicians such as: Tagliavini, Tilney, Leonhardt, Koopman, Uriol, Vogel, Radulescu, and Christensen.
He has also devoted himself to the praxis of the improvisation of continuo playing.
Andrea Perugi is an active concert solist, accompanist and conductor of vocal and instrumental groups as well, and has collaborated with: the Orchestra Regionale Toscana and the Teatro Comunale di Firenze, the dance company "La Follia" (Flavia Sparapani), the ensemble "Clement Janequin" of Paris, the vocal ensemble "L'Homme Armè, il "Concerto Italiano" (Rinaldo Alessandrini), "Europa Galante" (Fabio Biondi), "Risonanze" with Carlo Chiarappa, Claudio Abbado and the solists of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the mezzosoprano Cecilia Bartoli, the vocal group "La Venexiana", Frans Bruggen, "Il Complesso Barocco" (Alan Curtis).
He has perfomed in Europe, Japan and in North and South America and has made recordings for  Deutche Grammophone, Virgin, Harmonia Mundi, Decca, Opus111, Stradivarius, Tactus, Simphonia, Sonitus, Edipan,
Bongiovanni, Frame and also programs for the RAI (ITALY), the Radiovaticana, Radio France,the NBC (USA) and the NHK (Japan).
