Patrick Beaugiraud studied oboe with Ognibene, Chambon, Bourgue and Holliger. As well as playing modern oboe he performs baroque, classical and romantic repertoire on original instruments, appearing with leading period ensembles and musicians. He is in demand as a recording artist and concert soloist with ensembles including La Petite Bande, Le Concert d Astrée, Ricercar Consort, Bach Collegium Japan, Il Complesso Barocco, Dunedin Consort, Europa Galante, La Grande Ecurie et La Chambre du Roy, Ensemble Baroque de Limoges, Gli Angeli, Les Sybarites. Often on tour across Europe, China, Japon and America. His recordings include Bach oboe concertos, Couperin chamber music, Mozart oboe quartet, Haydn symphony concertante and solo pieces with Ann Sophie von Otter, Natalie Dessay, Emmanuelle Haim, Sigiswald Kuijken, Christophe Coin, Andreas Scholl. He teach baroque oboe in Lyon Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique.
